What is “Roleplay” or “RP”?
At its core, roleplay is about creating and living through a character that is different from your real-life self. The backstory, personality, and goals are yours to decide — as long as they follow the NewGenRP guidelines and terms.
NewGenRP gives you the platform to bring that character to life inside a living city, surrounded by others doing the same.
How to Connect to NewGenRP
- Launch FiveM and open the main menu.
- Press F8 to open the console.
- Type the command below and press ENTER.
- Press F8 again to close the console, then click “PLAY NOW”.

How to get started in the city?
When you first load into the city, you’ll arrive at Los Santos International Airport. From here, you’ll step into the character creation menu, where you can design your character’s look, style, and backstory.
Once you’re ready, you’ll need a way to leave the airport. At the terminal, you can rent one of three starter vehicles, each with different prices depending on the model. This gives you the freedom to pick how you want to start exploring the city.
Every new resident begins their journey with:
$10,000 in the bank
$2,500 in cash
A starter pack that includes: food, water, a phone, driver’s license, and ID
From there, it’s up to you — build your story, meet new people, and carve out your place in NewGenRP.
Driving in Los Santos
The roads of Los Santos can take you anywhere — adventure, opportunity, or sometimes trouble. To keep yourself and others safe, pay attention to these key guidelines:
Speed Limits
City roads: 40 mph max — slow down in busy pedestrian areas.
Highways: 70 mph max — stay alert and in control.
Emergency Vehicles
If a police vehicle with lights/sirens approaches you, safely pull over at the next opportunity.
Remain inside your vehicle and turn off your engine if asked.
Always yield to emergency vehicles, even if they’re not pulling you over.
Restricted Vehicles
Some vehicles are not meant for everyday road use. Examples include dirt bikes, go-karts, golf carts, and similar motorsport vehicles.
These belong in their natural environments — e.g., dirt bikes in Sandy Shores or off-road trails.
Using them on city streets or highways can result in your vehicle being impounded.

What is the future of NewGenRP?
You’ll just have to wait and see. We’re constantly evolving, adding new features, and shaping the city based on community feedback.
How do I contact an admin or staff member?
In-game: type /report.
Discord: open a support ticket.
Staff also monitor reports and support channels closely.
How can I get unbanned?
Submit a ban appeal through the Ban Appeal section on the website. Be honest, thorough, and follow the listed steps carefully.
Where do I report a bug?
Open a Bug Report Ticket on Discord or the website. Include screenshots, videos, or reproduction steps where possible.
I can’t hear anybody / nobody can hear me. How do I fix this?
Check FiveM settings, type fix_voice in F8, then relog. If it’s still not working, join the Support Voice channel in Discord.
Can I use multiple accounts to connect to the server?
No. One account per player. Multiple accounts result in an instant ban.
How do I clear my FiveM cache?

Do I need recording software to report rule-breakers?
Yes. While logs exist, player POV is required for most reports. Free tools include Shadowplay, Medal, and OBS.
I’m dead and no EMS/PD responds. What do I do?
If no EMS is online, after the 10-minute timer, press E to respawn at the hospital (“taking the local doctor”).
My vehicle disappeared. How do I find it?
Check the Impound Lot. Most missing vehicles end up there.
Why is my bank account negative?
Unpaid tickets, fines, or taxes. Driving with violations while broke will push your account into the negative.
How long do compensations take?
Once an Admin verifies the claim, payouts are usually fast. Follow the posted guidelines to avoid delays.
Can I use GTA V modpacks?
Yes, as long as they comply with NewGenRP rules. When unsure, ask staff first.
