This Week at NewGenRP
The grind doesn’t stop. More fixes, new features, and a glimpse of what’s ahead.The last two weeks have been packed with updates. From backend fixes to new features, we’re laying the groundwork for bigger systems that are on the way. This is part of what makes NewGenRP different — constant progress, no pay-gates, and a focus on community-driven roleplay.
Fixes & Tweaks
- Updated resource UUIDs and streaming files
- Casino config now allows use of bank money
- Adjusted stash coordinates for accuracy
- Ped height fixed and Benny’s storage adjusted
- Bike locking patched
- Vehicle handling tuned for smoother driving
- Minor item and config cleanups
New Features
- Phone updates rolled out
- Gang shop and stash settings added
- Vanilla Unicorn garage added (hidden blip)
- Turf configuration updated
- New item & crafting images included
- Resource center expanded with glass
Backend & Testing
- PvP zones in OP temporarily disabled for stability
- Gang + death handling updated with scripts enabled
- Mining tested and reverted for more adjustments
- General stash/crime config work
The New Phone
We fully switched our phone to give us more room to build on top of it and tie it into our systems. What that means for you:
- Voice & Video Calls (with optional speaker so nearby players hear your call)
- InstaPic Live and smooth video recording that captures nearby voices
- AirShare for quick sharing of contacts/photos
- Maps & location sharing, Messages (DMs & group chats), Weather
- Garage & Home apps (view vehicles, valet, give/remove keys—tied to our housing/garage)
- Social apps like Birdy (micro-posts), Trendy (short videos), Marketplace, Pages
- Performance-friendly: built to stay lightweight, even with a lot of players online
We’ve integrated the phone across NewGen assets so it plugs into jobs, ownership, and progression cleanly. This gives us a stable base to keep adding features without the jank.
Gangs 2.0
Gangs are getting deeper. Gangs 2.0 brings structured progression and more to do in the city:
- Turf Zones with graffiti captures, racketeering, rivalries, and optional PvP areas
- Missions (ready-to-run, expandable) and high-stakes airdrops
- Season Pass with free + premium reward tracks tied to EXP from missions/turfs
- Money laundering, illegal medic points, and the “Line” tool (restrain/drag/search/hood/transport rivals)
- Boss Menu + Organizational Tablet for vehicles, upgrades, finances, members, stats
- Interiors/MLO support with doorlocks, plus wardrobe & stashes (inventory support baked in)
We’re tuning this for NewGen—same core features, balanced for our economy and pacing. Expect more territory play, reasons to organize, and better rewards for crews who put in work.
No Paywalls
NewGen stays true to its core: no pay-gates, no VIP-only content. Everything is earned through time, roleplay, and achievements. We’re building a server where progress comes from playing, not paying.
